The original creator of the San Francisco ‘Mission-Style’ burrito is unknown. Certainly many have laid claim to this title, though we suspect its origins go back to the farmworkers of the California Central Valley.
The creator certainly was a pragmatist and definitely a hungry one at that. The combination of flavoured rice, beans, grilled meat, salsa and sour cream in a soft flour tortilla was clever; but rolling it, pressing it and then wrapping it in foil was a spark of genius.
Following this deep-rooted heritage, Little Burro Hong Kong prides itself in the authenticity of its burritos. Where possible, we use ingredients from local organic farmers and our meats are imported. To ensure freshness, our food items are prepared daily in-store and we never use artificial flavourings.
