The newest addition to Wan Chai’s busy restaurant district is Moonshine & The Po’Boys, a New Orleans-inspired seafood restaurant that resembles a retro Southern saloon.
American po’boys are invented during a streetcar strike in the late nineteenth century. A pair of New Orleans brothers decided to feed hordes of the off-duty workers with free baguette-style sandwiches filled with gravy and local seafood.
A chalkboard-style mural, glittering Mardi Gras beads and picnic tables contribute to the laidback, all-American atmosphere. Live music nights will feature talented artists performing classic blues and upbeat jazz.
