Located at the corner of the famous Ladies market in Mong Kok, award winning restaurant, Schwaz is a cosy family styled restaurant cafe serving continental European cuisine. After travelled through various Northern European cities, Alex decided to bring his favourite European dishes to Hong Kong; he named his restaurant Schwaz – Alex’s favourite tiny town in Austria.
While most ingredients are imported, some unique sauces are homemade including popular garlic spread used in their garlic toasts. Unusual is the organic bread (certified using organic bread flour) which is made at the restaurant and served with lunch or dinner set.
Pan-fried Prawns with Mixed Mushroom Rice is one of the home cooked dishes in Austria which is probably not available in other parts of Hong Kong. There is a secret recipe behind this dish which requires lots of preparation creating a strong aroma of the mushrooms well mixed with soft rice. Recommended for mushroom lovers. Also available are the all-time favourite All-day Egg Benedict Breakfast Deluxe and Foie Gras Wild Mushroom Penne.
Specialty coffees and homemade cheese cakes cannot be missed here. We loved the Rum coffee and Amaretto Latte and the Yakult Strawberry Cheese Cake. Tip: Check out daily set menus served with choice of bread, green salad or soup of the day with excellent main course options including Angus Beef Burger with Chips and Clams Pasta
