We’re not going to lie. If the Chope offices were located in Taikoo Place, we’d probably never get any work done. Nope! All our time would be spent drinking, eating, and basically making merry at The News Room Diner.
An immense selection of over 200 wines, New World and Old, and an eclectic collection of interestingly named cocktails are a good reason to head down, and there’s definitely something for anyone who’s hankering after a little tipple.
Their celebrity combos, named after or inspired by newsworthy personalities like The Marilyn Monroe (which is a scrumptious combination of a sandwich or hot dawg, a side dish, drink, and dessert), are all worth a try. Like any other venture by the Press Room Group, the food here is headline worthy. If you’re here for brunch, then be comforted by time-tested classics like the Waffles with fresh strawberries or the Eggs Benedict. Just thinking about the The All American is getting us hungry. There’s also an excellent selection of soups, starters, salads, pasta, rice, and succulent, juicy steaks, but we’ll leave you to explore that broadsheet of a menu on your own.
Just make sure you leave space for that Home-made Donuts. You won’t regret it.
