PLAY Celebrates 3 Years!
Curated by DJ Falcon & M.A.N.D.Y and Presented by Dom Pérignon Rose
On Thursday, August 21st, PLAY is going all out and inviting you to celebrate the mark of its 3rd Year Anniversary! Guests can expect a subtle change in the club and a heart-thumping musical performance by DJ Falcon & M.A.N.D.Y that you would not want to miss!
This year we are taking our followers on a musical journey. The night will begin with a cocktail reception with our favorite residents DJ Gie & Jekey who shall be bringing to us fun vibes to kick the party off. We expect a subtle change in mood as we bring to you a dash of sexy with a fusion of electro house and indie dance classics by DJ Falcon. When we are done musically seduced you by DJ Falcon, PLAY will transform into something more versatile, underground and different with Berlin techno duo M.A.N.D.Y.
Our 3rd Year Anniversary is a night for us to thank and give back to all our loyal PLAYers and customers who have believed and supported us throughout the years, and from the very beginning when we were located in California Tower. Tonight we ‘go back to basics’ and remind our followers to “Work Hard and PLAY Harder”. Come celebrate with the PLAY team for PLAY’s 3rd Anniversary.
DJ Falcon
DJ Falcon is back with new remixes for Justice, Alex Gopher and Alan Braxe. He is also one of the few collaborators on the new Daft Punk album, "Random Access Memories". Over the last few years DJ Falcon has been busy preparing new solo material for release later this year and working hard on a number of musical collaborations which will be coming out over the following months.
Stéphane Queme has been producing music and DJ’ing since the late nineties. He grew up on the outskirts of Paris, where he bonded with a group of friends that became a big part of his life. The legendary Thomas Bangalter and Ed Banger boss Pedro Winter helped to put Falcon at the center of the "French House" movement of the 90's and early 2000's.
Falcon’s musical project with Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter as ‘Together’ spawned two hit singles ‘So Much Love To Give’ and ‘Together’ both on the heralded Roulé. Since then Falcon has been remixing for many renowned artists including Phoenix Cassius and Alan Braxe and he has had the opportunity to travel the world with his camera, surfboard and record bag playing alongside the likes of the Chemical Brothers on their South American tour, Daft Punk on their ‘Alive Tour’ and with his friends from Ed Banger and Kitsune.
His DJ sets are inspired by everything from Electro Classics, House, Indie Dance, French Touch, Hip Hop to New Rave and Grunge.

There is an air of mystery shrouding the true meaning behind the acronym of
M.A.N.D.Y., an alias which embodies the mutual talents of childhood friends Philipp Jung and Patrick Bodmer. The pair readily indulge this curiosity by toying with various clever possibilities, including Me AND You, but the truth is likely a giggle under each of their talented breaths. P and P have carved a unique niche in electronic music by consistently selecting productions that induce their audience into a somatic frenzy. On the platform of their aptly titled Get Physical label, M.A.N.D.Y. has achieved massive success in colluding to create music that simply makes bodies move. Their foot stamping, hair flying passion is the ultimate expression of a dance music phenomenon
for many years.
When M.A.N.D.Y. and Booka Shade joined as musical soul mates with DJ T., first in Frankfurt, then in Berlin, Get Physical produced a caliber of electricity that rippled throughout the EDM community and into the relative mainstream. Philipp's charm and savvy, Patrick's allusive artistry, DJ T.'s killer entrepreneurial sense and Booka Shade's collaborative genius combined to form a masterpiece of intelligent design that reflects romantic sensibility and technical virtuosity. Together, they push the boundaries of dance music to compile an enviable arsenal of electro kissing house while caressing disco and flirting with techno. Body Language was the ubiquitous hit of 2005 and
M.A.N.D.Y.'s Fabric Series three years later cemented their reputation as two of the most captivating selectors on the planet. One of their most recent prestige was a complication for Renaissance in 2009 which was met with tremendous accolades and described by Resident Advisor as "maturity, smarts, and cohesion...that is rare these days."

Philipp and Patrick know exactly which buttons to press to make that bass jiggle up your spine and seduce your body free.
