Boqueria kicks off the spring season with a ‘Feria de Abril’ (April fair)-themed Super Fin de Brunch (HKD $488 for adults, HKD $288 for children). Guests are invited to celebrate one of the most iconic events in Spain on Saturday, April 18th, from 12 – 4pm, and will be the first to try Chef Robert Petzold’s latest additions to his popular brunch offering, which includes flavourful Spanish classics served on dim sum-style carts.
In Spain, the ‘Feria de Abril’ is a yearly affair that takes place on the banks of the Rio Guadalquivir in the city of Seville. The fair has evolved into an amazing spectacle of all that is Spanish. Boqueria adapts the festival’s famous food tents into mobile carts that highlight Spanish specialties like freshly made tapas, suckling pig, plancha-grilled fish, meats and vegetables, as well as their famous giant paella.
Chef Robert will use the occasion to debut some exciting new additions to Boqueria’s Super Fin de Brunch selection, showcasing fresh seasonal produce in a new range of vibrant salads and grilled spring vegetables.
Following Spanish traditions, guests are encouraged don polka dots and to come ready to dance to live DJ tunes and percussion beats. The entertainment is accompanied by free-flow cava, Estrella beer, red and white wine, freshly squeezed juices and a 'make-your-own' Sangría bar complete with fresh fruit and a choice of mixer and wine.
Exclusive to ‘Feria de Abril,’ Chef Robert is serving an additional touch of spring flavour with a whole-roasted lamb and Spanish lamb sausages. A dedicated roaming cart will offer classic Spanish cocktails (made especially for the occasion), like the Rebujito, a refreshing sherry, citrus soda and fresh mint concoction, the Kalimotxo with red wine, classic cola and fresh lemon, as well as the Tinto de Verano or “colour of summer," a cocktail of red wine and orange soda served with fresh orange.
Super Fin de Brunch is normally offered on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays for $288HKD, with the option of free-flow drinks packages starting at $188HKD (A 10% service charge will apply.)
