Lily & Bloom and Little Burro, two of Hong Kong’s trendiest restaurants and fast casual concepts, are joining forces to bring the city this year’s hottest Cinco de Mayo fiesta with a one-night-only taco pop-up stand. On the night, owner of Little Burro Roger De Leon, also known as critically acclaimed DJ Re:Flex will be showcasing the best of both his worlds; while Lily & Bloom’s Head Chef Billy Otis will be whipping up a Mexican-inspired culinary storm of his own. So head on up to Lily & Bloom on 5 May, and prepare to feast, drink and dance the night away.

This one-off event will feature a variety of delicious tacos from both Lily & Bloom and Little Burro, which will be up for grabs on a first-come-first-serve basis.

On 5/F, get ready to be greeted by Chef Billy Otis’s moreish Mexican specials, of which include Uni & Scallop Ceviche with Tomato, Cucumber, Mango & Jalapeño (HK$195); Salmon Belly torched and smoked with Coconut Purée and Spicy Kiwi Salsa (HK$90); Line-caught Mahi Mahi with Corn Tortitas with Onion Poblano Rajas (HK$245); Grilled Pineapple and Three Nut Crunch (HK245); Mexico’s Famous Mole, Slow Cooked Chicken, Onion and Queso Fresco (HK$210), and indulgent Churros with Dulche de Leche and Spiced Chocolate Dipping Sauces (HK$95), to name a few.

Smaller bites will also be available upstairs, from Chunky Guacamole and Salsa Verde served with Warm Tortilla Chips and Chicharrones (HK$50) and Shredded Beef Sopes (HK$50).

Meanwhile, on Lily & Bloom’s 6/F cocktail bar, Little Burro’s Taco Pop-Up Stand will be enticing guests with its own mouthwatering array of Mexican-style tacos: “Kick Ass” Pork Carnitas Taco, Mexican Spiced Sole Fish Taco and the Fajita Veggie Taco, all served with black beans, pico de gallo, cheese, lettuce and sour cream (HK$50 per taco).

From 10pm onwards, DJ REFLEX will hit the decks and get the fiesta started. Manning the bar will be Lily & Bloom’s award-winning Head of Cocktail & Spirits Development Pawel Mikusek, with a ready selection of 5 of his specially crafted cocktails for the night, including below:

The Cinco de Mayo fiesta celebrates the rich culture, heritage and history of Mexican ancestors who fought & succeeded in securing their independence from the French government in 1862.
